A thirty-minute video is thirty minutes of scrubbing when you're looking for one moment in it. The video timeline turns that into a jump.
Open a video in Tagbox and the timeline runs down the right side of the player, with matches also marked along the progress bar underneath. Instead of watching to find something, you can see where it happens and click straight to it.
Finding a spoken moment
Every word spoken in your videos is transcribed and analyzed for AI search. Search for a phrase and the timeline takes you to the exact moment it was said - useful for pulling a soundbite, finding where someone explains a feature, or checking what was actually promised on a call.
Transcription covers 100+ languages. See Cross-language support for how that works across your library, and Auto-transcription for what else transcripts can do.
Finding a person
Face recognition runs across video too. If you need every appearance of your CEO in a conference reel, the timeline marks each one, so a thirty-minute b-roll becomes a short list of clips.
Finding a product
Brand-aware AI tags go a step further than generic recognition. Rather than tagging a chair, the AI can be trained to recognize your specific products by name and mark every appearance on the timeline, ready to clip. For retail and eCommerce teams working through a large catalog, this is usually the reason to look at the timeline at all.
Brand-aware tags are trained on examples you provide. The Pro plan includes five, and Enterprise plans include more - email us at hello@tagbox.io to get yours set up.
Searching across videos
The timeline handles one video. To search visually across your whole library and land inside the right video in the first place, see AI Visual Search - clicking a video result drops you at the first matching moment rather than the start of the file.
The video timeline, with searchable transcripts and people detection, is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans.
