But what if you have lots and lots of people, and you don’t even know most of their names or have their emails?
That’s exactly what “Find My Photo” links are here for: you can share a link to a collection, where recipients can take a photo of themselves, and instantly get shown all of their photos, using face recognition.

“Find My Photo” links are extremely useful for sharing photos from large events.
Your guests would love to get their professionally-taken photos, and you would love for them to share your event on social media.
“Find My Photo” links are a better way to share your photos than publishing hundreds of them to a social media account. Your guests get the shots they’re actually in, and they’re far more likely to share them.
How to share a “Find My Photos” link
- Create a new collection and upload photos directly to it, or select already uploaded photos and add them to a collection using bulk edit.
- From the “share” button, toggle on “share to web” and then “Find My Photos”.
- Copy the link and share it with your guests.

What your guests experience
A guest opens the link, takes a photo of themselves with their phone or laptop camera, and sees the photos from your collection that they appear in. There's no account to create and nothing to install.
They only ever see their own matches - not the rest of the collection, and not other guests' photos.
Privacy
Face matching makes people ask questions, and it's fair that they do. What's worth knowing, and worth telling your guests:
- The selfie is used to find a match, not to build a profile. It's compared against the faces in that one collection.
- Guests see only themselves. The link doesn't expose the rest of your library, or the rest of the collection.
- You stay in control of the link. Turn off “Find My Photo” on the collection and the link stops working immediately.
- Tell people what's happening. A line on your event page or signage explaining that photos can be found by selfie tends to remove most of the friction before it starts.
If your event is somewhere with specific rules on processing biometric data, check what your local regulations require before you share the link publicly.
