Migrating to Tagbox

Most teams put off moving to a DAM because they picture months of work and a taxonomy project nobody wants to own. Ours takes about two weeks, and roughly an hour of your time.

We do the migration for you. You don't build the taxonomy, and you don't tag anything by hand.

Google Drive, Dropbox, SharePoint, OneDrive, Box, and the DAMs teams usually leave behind - Bynder, Canto, Brandfolder, Frontify, Air, Pics.io. If your files are somewhere else entirely, an export works too.

You share your files. Add our migration user to your existing storage, or point us at an export. This is also where you tell us the rules: only the last two years, skip the archive folder, split into two brand workspaces, only PSDs and MP4s. About fifteen minutes on your end.

We analyze. A specialist and our AI read your entire folder structure and file names. Variant spellings get unified, so NY and New York become one tag. Structured filenames get broken into their parts - something like FB_Ads_BrandName_20260410_TalentName becomes four separate tags.

You review. You see the proposed taxonomy: usually a few hundred tags organized into five to fifteen categories. Most teams finish this in half an hour to an hour, in one sitting. This is the step that matters, because it's where you shape how your library will work.

We import and tag. Original file metadata is preserved - capture date, EXIF, IPTC, color profiles, original filenames - and everything runs through our AI layer so it's searchable on content, not just names.

Your workspace goes live. Around the two-week mark.

We never modify or delete anything in your original Drive, Dropbox or DAM. It stays exactly as it is, and most teams keep it running for a month or two as a safety net before switching it off.

Two weeks is our commitment for typical mid-market libraries, roughly 5,000 to 100,000 assets. Larger than a million assets, get in touch and we'll scope it - usually two to four weeks to a live workspace, with the full import continuing in the background.
